Six Honor phones, every one of them in stock.

Rs. 29,999 for the X5b 4GB/64GB at the bottom, Rs. 129,999 for the X9B 12GB/256GB at the top. Five of the six are under Rs. 100,000.

Honor is the brand people here overlook, and that is usually a mistake at the budget end. The X6b and X7B give you more RAM and storage for the money than the equivalent Samsung, and the batteries are big.

The X5b at Rs. 29,999 is a phone for calls, WhatsApp and a camera you will not love. Buy it as a second phone or a first phone for a child, not as your only device.

The X9B at Rs. 129,999 is the one worth arguing about. 12GB of RAM and a durable curved screen, but at that price you are also looking at a Galaxy A series or a Redmi Note. Honor wins on raw specs, Samsung wins on resale and service reach here.

The catch across the range is software updates, which are shorter than Samsung and Google offer. If you keep a phone four years, factor that in.
